Minister for Transport and Main Roads and Minister for Digital Services
The Honourable Mark Bailey
- Community and stakeholder consultation has commenced on the Scarborough Boat Harbour Draft Master Plan.
- Consultation on the draft plan is critical in ensuring community and stakeholder input on the long-term vision for the boat harbour.
- The finalised master plan will be used as a strategic decision-making and implementation tool to protect and guide future development at the harbour.
Public consultation on the Scarborough Boat Harbour Draft Master Plan has now commenced.
The harbour is an integral part of the Redcliffe Peninsula and Moreton Bay’s social, cultural, and economic landscape, with the finalised plan to play a key role in its future development.
In 2021, the Department of Transport and Main Roads undertook an evidence-based and collaborative master planning project, which included ideas for the harbour from community and stakeholder groups.
Insights gained through this early engagement have helped inform the draft master plan.
Community consultation on the Scarborough Boat Harbour Draft Master Plan is open until 11 December 2023 via www.tmr.qld.gov.au/ScarboroughBoatHarbour.
Feedback gathered throughout the draft master plan’s consultation process will play a critical role in the development of the finalised plan.
