Survivors, advocates, ambassadors and change-makers invested in eliminating domestic violence will come together to share their stories at the 2023 Not Now, Not Ever. Together. Breakfast.

Tickets are now on sale for the event to be held on Friday 8 December at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Breakfast will allow Queenslanders to show their support, while learning about the laws, practices and programs in place working to end all forms of domestic and family violence.

Since 2015, the Queensland Government has been on a complex journey to prevent domestic and family violence, improve safety for women and children and foster positive cultural change in the state.

This year the Breakfast will focus on the behaviours that contribute to coercive control and raise awareness of how to eradicate domestic and family violence.

The event will feature Angie Jordan, a domestic and family violence (DFV) survivor who endured over 40 years of abuse, sharing her personal story of survival.

A panel of prominent ambassadors for change including Ms Jordan, Ben Bjarnesen BM (Founder and Managing Director, LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Foundation), Corin Monteiro (DFV survivor) and Lucy Jinga Munzugu (DFV survivor) will also share their insights and diverse experiences.

“This year has been a milestone year for action against domestic and family violence.

“This journey has never been easy, we are inspired by the brave victims, their families, advocates, experts and service providers for their bravery to share their stories.
