  • Beenleigh Steel Fabrications’ new facility in Berrinba was officially opened today
  • The $12 million facility has doubled the company’s production capacity
  • At least 59 new jobs will be created including new apprenticeships and traineeships

Beenleigh Steel Fabrications has completed construction of its new $12 million facility.

Thanks to the support of the Palaszczuk Government’s $175 million Jobs and Regional Growth Fund, the company fast-tracked its much-needed expansion.

The company’s steel has been a foundation for Queensland landmarks for the past 40 years.

It has contributed to buildings such as Suncorp Stadium and the Gabba.

Beenleigh Steel had outgrown its Creastmead facility after securing contracts for the Cross River Rail, Queen’s Wharf Terminal and Kangaroo Point Green Bridge.

The new modern, fit-for-purpose facility at Berrinba in Logan has doubled Beenleigh Steel’s floor space and production capacity.

“Importantly, the 59 new jobs will have a positive flow-on effect for the Logan community.
