Tourism Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said:

“Queensland is Calling is about encouraging Australians and New Zealanders to visit Queensland for the Southern Hemisphere’s best autumn and winter getaways.

Whether it’s hot springs in the Outback, First Nations culture in the Torres Strait or Southern Queensland wineries, there’s more to Queensland’s bucket list.

Queensland is Calling is part of our Towards Tourism 2032 roadmap to maximise this golden decade of tourism opportunity to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

We know when interstate and New Zealand visitors experience Queensland’s great lifestyle, they also support more good Queensland jobs.

Accommodation and hospitality providers, retailers and tourism operators all benefit when Queensland is holidaymakers’ destination of choice.

You don’t want to miss the call when Queensland is calling.”

Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Patricia O'Callaghan said:

“We wanted to find a way to make people stop and rethink Queensland.

We’re thrilled to be launching this next phase of Queensland is Calling to drive awareness and create intrigue about the Queensland experiences that should be on everyone’s list.

Travellers are spoilt for choice, so we’re ensuring Queensland remains front of mind as the world continues to open up with this campaign supporting the hidden tourism gems ready to be discovered.”
