  • Queensland Small Business Month in May 2023 is the ideal time to network and build long term connections to “Love your Local” small businesses.
  • Grants of up to $2000 are available to chambers of commerce, small business organisations, industry associations and regional local councils to host regional networking events during this year’s Queensland Small Business Month as part of the Queensland Governments inaugural Regional Networker Grants program is now open for applications.
  • A total of $100,000 is available through the Regional Network Grants program.

Queensland Small Business Month 2023 will bring even more events and activities to celebrate the amazing contributions small businesses make every day, in their communities and to our economy.

We love our small businesses and that’s why this year we are promoting a “Love your Local” campaign to highlight the wonderful work local businesses do in their communities.

Building local connections for our regional business communities can make all the difference when it comes to finding support and information about running a business.

The Regional Networker Grant aims to ensure more Queensland small businesses are supported in building strong networks relevant to their local industry, community and region.

Quotes attributable to the Minister for Employment Small Business Di Farmer:

“Many small business associations, including chambers as well as local councils, in regional Queensland need support to build networks and develop solutions to local business concerns.

“We know small businesses make amazing happen every day, and through these local connections and networks we can continue to deliver good jobs, better services and a great lifestyle.

“We love local small businesses, and we encourage everyone to “Love your Local” too.

“These networks can be critical to the success of businesses and are fundamental to local business environments flourishing.

“The Regional Networker Grants will help these associations to bring to life events across Queensland’s regions that will allow the local small businesses to connect with each other as well as the associations representing them.”
