Premier sworn in as Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has been sworn in as Premier and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

This fulfills a commitment given to Paralympics Australia to make the change before the end of the year.

“Being Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games gives the recognition the Paralympic Games deserves,” the Premier said.

“I look forward to continuing to work together on this once-in-lifetime opportunity for Queensland and Australia.”

Deputy Premier Steven Miles has been sworn in as Minister Assisting the Premier on Olympic and Paralympic Games Infrastructure.
