All industries now on Business Launchpad

Starting or running a business will be easier in Queensland with all businesses now covered by Queensland Business Launchpad.

Minister for Employment and Small Business and Minister for Training and Skills Development, Di Farmer said the free online tool is one of the Palaszczuk Government’s great success stories as it is a one-stop shop for businesses to find and apply for licences and permits.

“From today, businesses throughout Queensland will be able to find location and industry-specific licencing and regulatory information for local, state and federal government on Business Launchpad,” Minister Farmer said.

“This expansion to the entire state and to all industries means anyone starting or running a business in Queensland will be able to search for the licences and permits they need in the one place.

“Small business owners have told me how frustrating navigating government processes can be, costing them time and money, and this online service will simplify and streamline permit and licencing processes.”

Minister Farmer said it is exciting to see Business Launchpad growing from its initial offerings for residential construction and food and beverage businesses to cover all industries.

“When we started in April last year, Business Launchpad was providing licencing and regulatory information to just those two industries in Logan and Townsville, before expanding to include other locations,” Minister Farmer said.

“With its popularity with the initial two industries, having assisted more than 25 000 users, as well as its success in saving time and slashing red tape, we understood we had to expand it to make it a tool that supports every Queensland business, in every location and every industry.”

The information available on Business Launchpad includes licences, codes of practice, regulatory information and support services across all tiers of government. Each guide is tailored to suit the business and location.

Businesses can sign-in and can come back as licences and permits need renewing.
