Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has welcomed strong jobs growth in latest unemployment figures.

Queensland has the strongest overall jobs growth in the nation compared with pre-pandemic levels.

Queensland’s unemployment rate is 4.7% in December down from 4.8% in November.

This means there are 106,900 more jobs in Queensland in December than there were in March 2020.

“These encouraging job numbers show the overall strength of the Queensland economy,” the Premier said.

There are 359,400 more jobs in Queensland in December than January 2015.
