Statement from Attorney-General Yvette D'Ath

Mason Jet Lee’s death was a tragedy that Queenslanders everywhere have felt.

Mason’s mother, Anne Maree Lee, was today sentenced to nine years imprisonment for her role in his death.

I am seeking advice from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as to whether there would be grounds for a legal appeal.

Last year, I filed an appeal against Lee’s co-accused, William Andrew O’Sullivan. That matter is still before the court.
