Premier and Minister for Trade
The Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk

The Palaszczuk Government has committed $3.6 million to deliver the Yarrabilba Family, Children and Community Hub, adjacent to the new State School, Member for Logan Linus Power announced today.

Mr Power said the Hub would offer children’s health services, maternity services and consulting rooms for visiting specialists in the rapidly growing community.

“As the Member for Logan, I campaigned for a primary school and the Premier committed to a new secondary school for Yarrabilba. Local kids will be able to complete their education locally, in Yarrabilba,” he said.

“The hub ensures local residents have access to the full range of services for families and children.”

“The hub is due to be opened in August.”

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said a cross-government steering committee will oversee planning with the community to identify services to meet their needs.

The hub announcement coincided with the first day for 370 students enrolled at the new Yarrabilba State School and the visit to the school by Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Education Minister Grace Grace.
