Minister for Transport and Main Roads
The Honourable Scott Emerson

Transport and Main Roads Minister Scott Emerson has congratulated RACQ on the launch of a new app to assist learner drivers to complete their 100 hours of supervised driving.

The Learn2go app, which is available for iPhone and Android users, was developed by RACQ, which is a Transport and Main Roads road safety partner.

“RACQ has been at the forefront of helping learner drivers in this area with an e-logbook and now a supporting app,” Mr Emerson said.

“The Learn2go app will make it easier for young drivers to record their on-road supervised driving hours and allow information to be uploaded to an e-logbook.

“The app does not replace the need for a hard copy logbook or e-logbook, but it does help make it easier for learners to track their on-road driving and manoeuvres performed each trip.”

An official logbook has been a requirement for learner drivers to record 100 hours of supervised driving since July 2007.

The Learn2go app is available for free through the iTunes store and the Google play store.
