National Party claims about Disability Services Queensland’s capital works projects are off the rails, Disability Services Minister Lindy Nelson-Carr said today.
“Mrs Menkens’ claims are off the tracks. Her 11 March 2009 press release is like so many of hers – wrong,” she said.
“In 2007-08 the Disability Services Queensland’s capital budget is $64.7 million – $43.1 million related to the property construction program with 36 major capital projects.
“That’s hardly a freeze. We’re building and creating jobs and the Nationals are talking about cutting government by 3%.”
“This is just another example showing why the National Party is such a risk.”
