Free information sessions proving popular with builders

Minister for Public Works and Housing Robert Schwarten will be at Southport today at two free information sessions aimed at helping out building contractors in these difficult economic times.

The Department of Public Works is hosting an information session explaining how building contractors can register to take part in the rollout of $3 billion worth of housing and schools projects under the Rudd Government’s Nation Building and Jobs Plan.

The Building Services Authority (BSA) is hosting a free financial seminar to help building contractors succeed in these challenging times, including one-on-one financial planning sessions with an industry expert.

Mr Schwarten said hundreds of local building contractors had registered for the information sessions.
