MEDIA ALERT - Bridge name honours long-time community member

The Byfield Creek Bridge at Byfield, north of Yeppoon will be officially named in a ceremony tomorrow (Monday, 8 December 2008) to honour the late Mrs Pat Toon, a long-time resident and member of the Byfield community.

Mrs Toon is being honoured for her in recognition of her unwavering support and service to her community and family throughout her life.

Member for Keppel Paul Hoolihan will conduct the ceremony and cut an official ribbon to signify the new bridge name.

Mr Hoolihan will be available for interviews after the event.
