Port City scores Bligh Community Cabinet

Reinforcing the State’s commitment to a Gladstone Premier Anna Bligh, her Cabinet and all the State’s top public servants will be in the Port City for the year’s last two-day Community Cabinet (Sunday 7 and Monday 8 December 2008).

“It’s about us keeping in touch – hearing what locals have to say, on their turf and on their terms,” said Ms Bligh.

“It is the ideal opportunity for individuals, groups and organisations to put their issues and concerns to me, my ministers and the Department Directors-General,” she said.

“These two days are the best opportunity for local residents to raise issues one-on-one with the State’s key decision-makers,” she said.

vThe Sunday forum will be held at the Tannum Sands State High School, 65 Coronation Drive Tannum Sands..

“It’s important Cabinet and State’s key decision-makers hear first-hand issues of concern. Everyone’s welcome. Come along and have a chat over a cuppa,” she said.

vCabinet will meet in Gladstone on the Monday from 9.30am.

vParliamentary Secretaries and Government representatives will also be available for meetings at Gladstone on Monday, 8 December 2008 between 9.am and 11.00am at the Gladstone Police-Citizens Youth Club, Memorial Park, Yaroon Street.
