Mudgeeraba & Proserpine get Premiers Christmas Concerts
The Global Financial Crisis might be upon us - but that does not mean we cannot extend some Festive season cheer, Premier Anna Bligh said this week in announcing this year’s Premier’s Seniors Christmas Concerts venues.
“Yes we have to respond carefully, but that does not mean we cannot spend some time together and spread about some goodwill,” said Ms Bligh.
“Last year it was Warwick and Bundaberg’s turn and this year they’ll be on;
vFriday 12 December at the Proserpine Entertainment Centre, and
vTuesday 16 December at the Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall, Mudgeeraba.”
“The concerts will again include a range of classic old-time and contemporary tunes as well as a sing-along with traditional Christmas carols,” she said.
Member for Mudgeeraba Di Reilly than ked the Premier for again choosing the Gold Coast, in this case Mudgeeraba.
She called on Coast seniors to come along and enjoy the festive goodwill.
Member for Whitsunday Jan Jarratt said called on Whitsunday seniors to come along and celebrate the spirit of Christmas.

The Premier said: ”Our seniors have worked hard all their lives and paid taxes and the concerts are us saying a small “thank you" to them for all their hard work in making Queensland the great state it is,” she said.
Past venues include: Emerald, Bundaberg, Hervey bay, Beerwah, Charters Towers, Gold Coast, Atherton, Toowoomba, Redcliffe, Ipswich, Townsville, Logan and Warwick.
