Overseas successes and opportunities on show during Export Week
Export week kicks off from Monday 13 October with a number of events across the State to support companies in growing their export potential as part of Trade Queensland’s 2008 Export Week program.
Minister for Trade John Mickel said Export Week is bigger and better than ever with activities planned across the State to recognise, promote and assist in growing Queensland’s export businesses and industries.
“Now more than ever, companies need to continue to innovate and explore opportunities.”
“During the week, export businesses and those considering exporting will attend seminars, market briefings and networking events throughout Queensland hosted by 11 Trade Commissioners.”
“Exporters will also gather on the evening of Thursday, 16 October to celebrate and acknowledge the export success of Queensland businesses at the 2008 Premiers Export Awards.”
“This is the highlight of Export Week, when the Premier host’s Queensland’s Export Awards, now in their 19th year. These awards are Queensland’s highest recognition of export higher achievement,” Mr Mickel said.
“Export Week 2008 will highlight the significance of exporting to the Queensland economy and celebrate the success of Queensland exporters. I invite exporters, and those considering overseas trade as a future option for their business growth to come and make the most of Export Week activities,” Mr Mickel said.
