Premier welcomes BHP Billiton changes
Mackay: Premier Anna Bligh today welcomed changes that will have BHP Billiton metallurgical coal’s head office moved from Melbourne to Brisbane.
“It also means movement of up to 50 BHP Billiiton people to Brisbane,” said the Premier.
“It is a welcome change in the BHP Billiton structure and it further reflects Queensland’s importance in the coal industry.
“We have been advised BHP Billition will have the new changes fully staffed and functioning by mid-2009,” said Ms Bligh
