MEDIA ALERT: MINISTER VISITS KEY LINK IN REEF PROTECTION NETWORK

Natural Resources and Water Minister Craig Wallace will tomorrow inspect the Clare stream gauging station on the Burdekin River, one of the Bligh Government’s stream monitoring stations which supports the Reef Water Quality Protection Plan.

The station isone of the key links in the Bligh Government’s efforts to protect the Great Barrier Reef.

Venue: Clare Gauging station

Directions: Cross the Burdekin River Bridge (South of Ayr) and turn left immediately after service station onto the Clare Road (Ayr-Dalbeg road). Travel 23.1 km and turn left through a gate onto a track. Follow the track in a downstream direction for 0.7 km to arrive at site.
