The Honourable John Mickel
Trade Queensland assists NetBox Blue to build Taiwan presence
Queensland IT solutions company NetBox Blue is continuing with its plan to cement a position in the Asia market with assistance from the Government’s export agency, Trade Queensland.
Minister for Trade John Mickel said that NetBox Blue had spent considerable resources and time on building a profile and investigating potential new clientele in Taiwan recently.
“In June, Trade Queensland supported NetBox Blue’s attendance at Computex, the Taipei International Technology Show, as an opportunity for the company to showcase its unique security and management solutions in Taiwan. Computex hosted approximately 4 000 vendor booths and attracted 35 000 international buyers.
“Trade Queensland has continued to work with NetBox Blue to follow up on business opportunities identified through attendance at Computex, and will now assist the company as it works to establish a physical presence in the growth market of Taiwan.
”NetBox Blue will now be further assisted through the provision of temporary office space in Trade Queensland’s Taipei office, allowing the company to explore feasibility and accommodation options for a new Taiwan-based consultant to complement their regional manufacturing base in Taipei.
“Trade Queensland is proud to be working with NetBox Blue to increase the company’s profile, and help to further position them in Taiwan and other global markets, particularly in Asia.
“NetBox Blue is an excellent example of a Smart State exporting company and I am confident they can take advantage of opportunities for further expansion in Asia following on from their recent market success in Japan,” Mr Mickel said.
NetBox Blue recently signed a master distribution agreement with Canon to supply up to 500 email filtering devices a month to Japanese clients and is also developing solutions for markets in China, Singapore and the Philippines.
