State Government and The King partner for $675,000 tourism campaign
Tourism Minister Desley Boyle will at 10am tomorrow, 18 July, announce a new $675,000 tourism campaign featuring league legend Wally Lewis to lure visitors to Queensland for the state’s biggest sporting event of the decade – the Rugby League World Cup.
The special “Where’s Wally” type promotion will target interstate fans to encourage them to come to Queensland for the event and spend some extra time exploring while they’re here.
Expected visitor numbers, economic impact and campaign details will be discussed further at the press conference.
