Public transport the best way to see the big game

It will be a clash of the mighty Queensland teams tomorrow night when the Titans take on the Broncos at Skilled Park.
Minister for Transport John Mickel said footy fans should take advantage of additional public bus and rail services to get to and from the game.
He said TransLink had successfully taken on several public transport challenges in recent weeks around sporting events.
"Three weeks ago almost 85,000 fans attended football games at the Gabba and Suncorp Stadium at the same time," Mr Mickel said.
"Despite the demands of moving the huge crowds and with the added challenge of the usual Friday afternoon peak hour rush, TransLink public transport services moved around 113,000 people to and from the games.
“This was a great success, with services clearing the crowd within about an hour,’’ he said.
Mr Mickel said the fantastic result had been mirrored at Skilled Park when TransLink services were tested by huge crowds.
"It just goes to show that public transport really is the best way to get to the football – plus, the cost of travel is free with your entry ticket."
