Brisbane Northside workshops promote secrets for business success

Brisbane Northside small business operators and anyone thinking of starting a business are invited to take advantage of a series of workshops being held this month to improve their chances of success.

Regional Development and Industry Minister Desley Boyle and Member for Aspley Bonny Barry says the Leading Edge – Actions for Success workshop was the first of four events being run by the Regional Development Centre in Aspley to help local business thrive.

“I encourage local businesses to consider attending to see if there are ways they can do things better,” Ms Boyle said.

Ms Barry said: “The workshop combines examples and information to help participants create strategies to attract and retain customers, while improving client relations.

“Among other things, participants will walk away with a unique selling proposition. This is a powerful and effective statement they can use each time they introduce themselves and their business.”

Ms Barry said local business people could also improve their firm’s marketing methods by attending the Smart Marketing workshop.

“Marketing is critical to many businesses. Used effectively, it can help to dramatically increase sales, gain market share from competitors, and have a business better recognised in the commercial world,” Ms Barry said.

“Smart Marketing is aimed at both prospective and existing business operators who want to learn about cost-effective and proven approaches to successful business marketing.

“In reality, who doesn’t want to get the most out of their marketing efforts?”

Zel Goldman, Director of the Brisbane Northside Regional Development Centre said all the workshops cost $33.00 to attend.

“I’d encourage local business owners and managers to sign up for any of the range of workshops on offer. They can help you and your staff to work smarter, not harder,” Mr Goldman said.

“We are here to provide assistance to local business operators on a number of levels and our workshops are just one way in which we can help them grow.”
