The Honourable Desley Boyle
Brisbane Northside workshops help locals guarantee new product success
Business owners looking to launch a new product, or increase existing product success should attend a workshop being run this month by the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry’s Brisbane Northside Centre.
Regional Development and Industry Minister Desley Boyle and Member for Aspley Bonny Barry said How to Guarantee Your New Product Success was a valuable one-day workshop for those wishing to improve their new product effectiveness.
“I encourage businesses to consider attending to see how they can do better in business,” Ms Boyle said.
Ms Barry said: “Participants will learn how to overhaul their company’s product development process from idea to launch.”
“The aim is that this will lead to higher profits and better success rates as well as the product reaching the market faster.
“Those who attend will discover the methods and techniques that best practice companies are using to drive new products to market,” Ms Barry said.
Zel Goldman Director of the Department’s Brisbane Northside Centre said How to Guarantee Your New Product Success would run from 8.30am to 5.00pm on 28 February, allowing participants to get the most out of the workshop.
“The hands-on presentations will teach participants how to implement a ‘Stage Gate’ approach.”
Mr Goldman said the ‘State Gate’ approach divided product development into a systematic process with a series of stages, where each stage contained a set of prescribed activities incorporating industry best practices.
“The skills and knowledge ascertained will allow you to dramatically improve your product performance,” he said.
How to Guarantee Your New Product Success costs $220.00 and will be held at the Kedron Wavell Services Club, Kittyhawk Drive (off Hamilton Road), Chermside.
