The Honourable Desley Boyle
Bundaberg caters for all in the business scene
Whether your looking to establish a business or want to get the most from your business plan, Bundaberg has two workshops on offer this month to cater for both ends of the scale.
Getting the Most from your Business Planning on 19 February (6-9pm) is the first workshop run by the Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry’s Bundaberg Centre this month.
It’s aimed at helping established business owners find out how they can improve their operations through enhanced business planning.
Regional Development and Industry Minister Desley Boyle said she encouraged business owners and managers to attend the workshop, as having an effective business plan would really stimulate growth for their firm.
“Proper planning can identify ways to increase profits and establish priorities, which in turn helps to avoid wasting time and losing opportunities,” Ms Boyle said.
“The workshop will help participants identify and discuss the Business Process Planning model, explore business planning tools and to develop an action plan.”
Michael Whiting, Director of the Department’s Bundaberg Centre said for those thinking of starting a business, or purchasing an established one, the Considering a Business workshop on 27 February (2-3.30pm) was a must.
“You will have the opportunity hear from a variety of experts, such as accountants, solicitors and business owners who will cover key issues to consider before commencing a business,” Mr Whiting said.
Participants will also be provided with a ‘Research Workbook’ to assist them in business decision making.
Both workshops cost $33.00 and are on at the Bundaberg Regional Development Centre, 205 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg.
