Premier Congratulates State Secretary On Job Well Done

Premier Anna Bligh today congratulated ALP State Secretary Milton Dick on nominating as a candidate for the Richlands Ward in the March 2008 local government election.

“Milton has done a terrific job as State Secretary and the Queensland Labor Party will certainly miss his campaigning skills,” Ms Bligh said.

“He has been a key player in several State and Council election victories and was instrumental in Labor’s resounding success in Queensland in the recent Federal election.

“I know his hard work at the 2006 State election was one of the key reasons for us doing so well.

“He will have big shoes to fill running in a ward that has been so ably served by Councillor Les Bryant, however I am sure he will serve the local community well.

“Milton is a great grassroots campaigner and I am sure he would be a strong advocate for residents in the Richlands ward.

“I wish him well at the March Council election.”
