The Honourable Kerry Shine
Attorney-General and Minister for Justice Kerry Shine said the Supreme Court has included additional strict conditions to the supervision order for Dangerous Prisoner Sexual Offender Robert John Fardon.
“I instructed Crown Law to ask for a Continuing Detention Order for Mr Fardon or, if the court decided to order his release, to apply for a supervision order with strict conditions,” Mr Shine said.
“I also instructed Crown Law that if a supervision order was imposed that counsel ask for additional conditions to be added.
“The Supreme Court has included electronic monitoring and a curfew in the new supervision order as well as a requirement that Mr Fardon detail his planned activities each week to Queensland Corrective Services staff.”
“Mr Fardon is subject to 38 conditions under his new supervision order."
