GO THE COWBOYS!

Premier Anna Bligh today wished the North Queensland Cowboys well on the eve of their big clash with the Sea Eagles in Sydney.

Ms Bligh said she had written to the Cowboys to offer her support in their quest for victory.

“I hope all Queenslanders cheer on the Cowboys tomorrow night,” Ms Bligh said.

“They are the only team north of the border still in the running so I urge all Broncos and Titans fans to temporarily put their allegiances aside to support the Queensland team.

“The Cowboys are the most exciting attacking team in the competition.

“The way they play the game has helped attract new fans to rugby league.

“Players such as Matt Bowen and Jonathon Thurston are now genuine stars of the game and they are supported by a mix of veterans and exciting new talent.

“The whole administration of the club is very professional and CEO Peter Parr and all the staff at the Cowboys deserve a pat on the back for a job well done.

“Go Cowboys!”
