Shine welcomes additional ministerial responsibilities

Attorney-General and Justice Minister Kerry Shine has welcomed additional responsibilities as the Minister responsible for Fair Trading.

"Premier Anna Bligh has entrusted me with additional ministerial responsibilities of Fair Trading," Mr Shine said.

"I look forward to the additional challenges and opportunities to serve the people of Queensland offered by the Fair Trading portfolio."

"Fair Trading is a natural fit within the Attorney-General and Justice portfolio."

"I will be working, as Minister responsible for Fair Trading, to further strengthen consumer and business confidence in Queensland. That confidence in turn helps promote economic growth and industry development."

"The maintenance of standards, resolving disputes and educating business and consumers are important roles in the Fair Trading portfolio."

Mr Shine is the Member for Toowoomba North and the Minister Assisting the Premier in Western Queensland.
