School Holiday Fun at Roma Street Parkland

Roma Street Parkland is offering a range of activities these September school holidays for children of all ages.
Public Works Minister Robert Schwarten said the Parkland’s had organised an entertaining school holiday programme.
“There will be a number of professionally run activities and workshops provided to keep children of all ages out and about and active, including breakdancing, fishing, juggling, lantern making, origami and even bug art,” Mr Schwarten said.
“It’s a great opportunity for parents to bring their children to a fun and safe environment during the holidays.
“Families are invited to use the free barbeques and picnic areas or simply enjoy the surrounding gardens.
“The Spectacle Garden is the horticultural heart of the Parkland, providing visitors with the chance to discover treasures of the world’s largest subtropical garden in a city centre,” Mr Schwarten said.
School holiday activities are offered from 27 September to 5 October and all children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Workshops are priced from as low as $5 per activity.
Roma Street Parkland is at 1 Parkland Boulevard, Brisbane, next to Roma Street Station. The Parkland is owned and managed by the Department of Public Works.
