MEDIA ALERT: JUDY SPENCE, MINISTER FOR POLICE AND CORRECTIVE SERVICES
Minister for Corrective Services, Judy Spence, will hold a media conference at the Brisbane Correctional Centre (former Sir David Longlands) construction site tomorrow to highlight water saving measures which are included in the refurbishment and expansion of the prison.
The main feature of the water saving initiatives is the eight 22,500 litre water tanks which are being installed at the prison which will provide 180,000 litres of water when full.
Media representatives are asked to wear shoes appropriate for a construction site.

After the conference media representatives are invited to attend the Queensland Corrective Services Academy (also on Wacol Station Rd) for the graduation of 55 new custodial officers, 10 dog handlers and 9 drug detection dogs.
