MINISTER PAYS TRIBUTE TO BRIDGE INSPECTOR

The Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Paul Lucas, and the Director-General of Main Roads, Alan Tesch, have extended their deepest sympathies to the family of Dale Cleary - the department's RoadTek worker tragically killed last night.
Mr Cleary died suddenly while inspecting a Centenary Highway overpass.
Mr Lucas said he was shocked and saddened by the tragic accident.
"Dale Cleary was a highly valued and experienced senior bridge inspector.
"He was one of the unsung heroes of the Main Roads department who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make our roads safer," Mr Lucas said.
Main Roads Director-General, Alan Tesch, said Dale was highly respected by his many friends and work mates.
"He was one of my department's most experienced and valued bridge inspectors.
"Dale Cleary had been with Main Roads for more than 30 years - he was known for his great personality and bright outlook on life.
"He will be sadly missed."
