MEDIA ALERT - protecting koalas in Daisy Hill

Students at Slacks Creek School in Daisy Hill have taken the protection of koalas into their own hands and are working with the QPWS to implement a koala feeding program.
Environment Minister Lindy Nelson-Carr will join the Member for Springwood Barbara Stone tomorrow (Friday) on a visit to the school where students have planted 1250 trees on one hectare of school property as part of their involvement in the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service's koala conservation and rehabilitation program.
Members of the media are invited to attend to see the work undertaken by the students.
