Minister for State Development John Mickel will visit Townsville tomorrow to announce the region as one of six Queensland Centres of Enterprise.
Delivering an election commitment the Centre of Enterprise initiative is designed to help build key industries and attract new investors and businesses to the regions.
Mining and minerals processing, and tropical science and expertise are the first two industries to be targeted under Townsville and the North West’s Centres of Enterprise Initiative.
