Bundaberg organisation shares in $500,000
The Bundaberg Community Development organisation will receive $49,848 in the second round of the Queensland Government’s Building Links funding package.
Minister for Communities and Disability Services Warren Pitt said the statewide $500,000 funding program would help organisations to work together to enhance the services they provide to Queenslanders.
“Bundaberg Community Development and other organisations will use this Building Links funding to plan and undertake activities. The funding may be used to develop shared facilities, that provide combined training, education and resources,” Mr Pitt said.
“Some will use the grants to develop business case proposals, which will ensure the funding is well managed to provide the best investment to support communities across Queensland.”
The Building Links program is a component of the Queensland Government’s $26.9 million Strengthening Non-Government Organisations strategy.
“This is an important program because it helps organisations to build partnerships that will help them to integrate their service delivery,” he said.
“By working together and sharing resources and services, organisations receiving funding will save money, which will ensure they can continue to deliver high-quality programs in Bundaberg.”
A further funding round to help non-government organisations opened on 28 April. For an information package, call 1300 794 611 or visit www.communities.qld.gov.au
