The Honourable Warren Pitt
Nominate now for Disability Action Week awards
The Queensland Government is on the lookout for individuals and organisations that have helped to make a difference to the quality of life for people with a disability.
Disability Services Minister Warren Pitt said through the 2007 Disability Action Week Awards the government would recognise people who had helped make the community more inclusive for people with a disability.
“We have acknowledged some outstanding individuals and organisations in the past so it gives me great pleasure to invite nominations for this year’s awards,” Mr Pitt said.
“The awards recognise all those whose efforts have contributed to the quality of life of people with a disability. I encourage all Queenslanders to nominate an individual or organisation that deserves recognition for a 2007 Disability Action Week award.”
