Blueprint for the Bush to be discussed at Monto Ministerial Regional Community Forum

The Queensland Government’s Blueprint for the Bush initiative will be on the agenda when the Ministerial Regional Community Forum for the Wide Bay–Burnett region heads to Monto on Tuesday, 8 May.

Communities Minister Warren Pitt said Queensland Government Ministers and Members of Parliament would discuss strategies to address climate change and issues relating to the Blueprint for the Bush with regional representatives, known as forum members.

“I encourage anyone interested in local issues to attend the forum as part of the public audience and listen to the views of forum members and the attending MPs,” Mr Pitt said.

The MPs scheduled to attend the Monto Ministerial Regional Community Forum are:
• Minister for Natural Resources and Water, Craig Wallace
• Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for State Development, Employment and Industrial Relations, Gary Fenlon.

The forum will be held at the Monto Shire Hall, 51 Newton Street, Monto, from 12 pm.

Mr Pitt said the popular Ministerial Regional Community Forums were held simultaneously in 10 locations throughout Queensland four times a year, enabling Queenslanders to get involved in local issues and help develop local solutions.
