Community consultation scheduled for Coolangatta Ministerial Regional Community Forum
Issues facing the Gold Coast will be among the topics to be discussed when the Ministerial Regional Community Forum for the Gold Coast is held at Coolangatta on Tuesday, 8 May.
Communities Minister Warren Pitt said Queensland Government Ministers and Members of Parliament would discuss various issues with regional representatives known as forum members.
“I encourage anyone interested in local issues to attend the forum as part of the public audience and listen to the views of forum members and the attending MPs,” Mr Pitt said.
The MPs scheduled to attend the Coolangatta Ministerial Regional Community Forum are:
• Minister for Transport and Main Roads, Paul Lucas
• Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Health, Karen Struthers.
The forum will be held at the Calypso Plaza, 99 Griffith Street, Coolangatta, from 1.45 pm, with a community consultation session to start at 11 am.
Mr Pitt said the popular Ministerial Regional Community Forums were held simultaneously in 10 locations throughout Queensland four times a year, enabling Queenslanders to get involved in local issues and help develop local solutions.
