TIM QUINN JOINS SOUTH BANK BOARD
Former Lord Mayor Tim Quinn has been appointed to the Board of South Bank Corporation.
Premier Peter Beattie said Mr Quinn would bring a wealth of experience to South Bank’s dynamic Board.
"Tim’s long and impressive history of public service and extensive urban planning experience made him an ideal candidate for the vacant Board position,” Mr Beattie said.
"Tim was a Brisbane Councillor for almost 20 years and served as Chair of the Urban Planning and Development Committee from 1991 to 2003 when he was appointed Lord Mayor of Brisbane.
“He is experienced in land use planning, local traffic management and environmental planning – all of which will be valuable to the Board as South Bank continues to grow and revitalise.
"I congratulate Tim on his appointment and look forward to the Board’s continuing contribution to ensuring South Bank remains one of the world's most impressive urban precincts," Mr Beattie said.
