The Honourable Robert Schwarten
NANANGO POLICE STATION TO GET FACELIFT
Public Works Minister Robert Schwarten today announced funding of more than $8,000 to undertake various maintenance projects at Nanango Police Station.
Mr Schwarten said the projects included an external repaint of the station, the repair of a section of damaged ceiling and the replacement of the existing water tank.
“The dedicated officers and staff at the Nanango Police Station do a great job protecting and serving the town and surrounding areas,” Mr Schwarten said.
“This funding will ensure these maintenance jobs can be completed, giving the officers and staff an even better base from which to work.
“QBuild, the State Government’s construction and maintenance organisation, will manage the work.”
Mr Schwarten said the funding allocated demonstrated the State Government’s commitment to properly maintaining public assets like schools and police stations for the benefit of local communities.
