WATER MAIN SERVICES UPGRADE AT FARLEIGH STATE SCHOOL
Public Works Minister Robert Schwarten today announced more than $12,000 in funding to upgrade water main services at Farleigh State School.
Mr Schwarten said the funding would allow for the supply and installation of new pipe works from the water metre to blocks A and B and the amenities blocks.
“This is an important project for the Farleigh State School community as it ensures water supply to these buildings is secure,” Mr Schwarten said.
“The work, to be managed by QBuild Whitsunday region, includes the removal of existing pipe works and installation of new pipes carried out in accordance with the relevant standards and local laws.
“QBuild will ensure the work is managed in such a way that it has a minimal disruption to the school community.”
Mr Schwarten said the funding demonstrated the State Government’s commitment to properly maintaining public facilities like schools for the benefit of all Queenslanders.
