POPULAR FISHING CALENDAR NOW AVAILABLE AS A SCREEN SAVER

Spend more time fishing and less time organising this year with the newly released Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries 2007 desk top calendar.

Minister for Primary Industries and Fisheries Tim Mulherin said the free calendar could now be downloaded from the DPI&F website as a computer screen saver.

“This year the calendar has been designed as an electronic version with colourful images and comics guaranteed to brighten up your day,” Mr Mulherin said.

“The calendar is extremely practical as a screen saver and includes useful information such as recreational fishing rules and regulations, moon phases and school holidays.

“The cartoons are an innovative and fun way to communicate important messages about responsible recreational fishing.”

Mr Mulherin said as well as a screen saver, the calendar could also be downloaded and printed off for a hard copy.

To obtain the calendar, simply visit www.dpi.qld.gov.au/fishweb and click on the calendar’s link, open and name the file and install the calendar within minutes.

Once installed, the calendar will appear daily as a screen saver, timed to specification, and will automatically update the date and month to save you the extra hassle.

While visiting the Fishweb site keen anglers can also find a copy of the Recreational fishing rules and regulations for Queensland guide, also available to download.
