Minister calls for urgent report

Child Safety Minister Desley Boyle has called for an urgent report into the case of a Gold Coast mother accused of attempting to harm her three children.

“I’ve asked for a full account of what contact the Child Safety Department has had with this mother and the reasoning behind any decisions that have been made.

“I am told the Department has been criticised during a court appearance today.

“But whether what was said in court was a full and accurate account of events will have to be determined.

“The most important thing right now is that the children are safe in foster care,” Ms Boyle said.
