The Honourable Rod Welford
QUEENSLAND SCHOOL SPORT STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR 2007
Queensland’s future sport stars will be uncovered at School Sport State Championships held across the state this year.
Students will compete for a right to represent their state in a wide range of sports, from surfing to squash and from tennis to triathlon.
Education and Training Minister, Rod Welford, encouraged local communities to support future sporting heroes when the championships visited their towns.
“You never know when you could be watching the next Darren Lockyer or Leisel Jones,” Mr Welford said.
