Premier Peter Beattie today released legal advice from the Solicitor-General of Queensland and the Crown Solicitor into legal issues following the death Mulrunji.

Solicitor-General of Queensland, Walter Sofronoff QC: advice explaining the legal basis for decisions made by the Coroner and the Director of Public Prosecutions;
Crown Solicitor Conrad Lohe: legal advice on whether a commission of inquiry could be established into whether any person should face criminal charges.
Crown Solicitor Conrad Lohe: legal advice on the limits, if any, on the power of a Commonwealth Parliamentary Committee or a Commonwealth Royal Commission.
