Applications for Justice positions close next week

Applications for up to 12 positions offered for university graduates and students by the Queensland Government’s Department of Justice and Attorney-General (JAG) close next week, Attorney-General Kerry Shine said today.

Mr Shine said the Department was offering part-time positions for students and full-time positions for graduates from a wide range of disciplines including law, justice administration, business management and statistics. Applications close 15 December 2006.

“Justice and Attorney-General is a very broad portfolio including the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Supreme and District Court, the Dispute Resolution Branch, Magistrates Courts and Crown Law,” Mr Shine said.

“The 12-month graduate program will offer invaluable and practical paid experience for students and graduates alike with the opportunity to work in two areas of the portfolio.”

The program commences in February each year and runs for 12 months.
