Attorney-General and Minister for Justice and Minister Assisting the Premier in Western Queensland
The Honourable Kerry Shine
Welcomed interest in Toowoomba Community Cabinet
More than 100 deputations have been booked to meet State Government Ministers at the Toowoomba Community Cabinet meeting this weekend (3 and 4 December).
Member for Toowoomba North Kerry Shine said the Community Cabinet meeting was an excellent opportunity for members of the community to discuss local issues with Cabinet Ministers and Directors-General.
“As the local Member, I am pleased the Government is holding a Community Cabinet meeting in Toowoomba. This will be the third Community Cabinet meeting held in the local region since the Government was elected in 1998,” Mr Shine said.
“I am sure there will be a wide range of issues and proposals raised by the local community.”
Mr Shine, the Attorney-General, Justice Minister and Minister Assisting the Premier in Western Queensland, said he looked forward to the Community Cabinet meeting.
“This will be my first Community Cabinet meeting as a Minister, and I am sure there will be a range of specific issues raised with me within my portfolio responsibilities as well as the local Member,” Mr Shine said.
Cabinet will meet at Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE Campus, in Bridge Street Toowoomba. Members of the community are invited to meet with Cabinet Ministers on Sunday afternoon (3 December).
