Premier and Minister for Trade
The Honourable Peter Beattie
Premier Peter Beattie has ridiculed suggestions by Liberal leader Bruce Flegg that a new report on nuclear power commissioned by the Queensland Government is secret.
“I made reference to the ROAM Consulting report in a speech yesterday and it was available for anyone who asked,” Mr Beattie said.
“It was hardly a secret.
“I always intended to table it in Parliament tomorrow and it will be available on the Queensland Government website this afternoon.
“The issue of nuclear power in Australia is a serious issue that needs serious debate.
“Mr Flegg should try and make a proper contribution instead of grandstanding and playing silly games.”
