- The Crisafulli Government is delivering a plan for Queensland’s future and delivering for Country Racing in Queensland, after a decade of decline under Labor.
The Crisafulli Government is delivering modern and fit-for-purpose infrastructure upgrades for more Queensland country racing clubs through Racing Queensland’s Country Club Asset Funding (CCAF).
The next round is now open for applications, with the program set to deliver infrastructure repairs, maintenance and asset replenishment across country racing clubs in Queensland.
It’s just one of the ways the Crisafulli Government is safeguarding the ongoing viability of country racing in Queensland and delivering a plan for Queensland’s future after a decade of decline under Labor.
It follows the release of the Crisafulli Government’s response to the 2025 Queensland Racing Review – The Next Lap: A plan for the future of Queensland racing – which recommended sweeping reforms to see country racing thrive.
The Crisafulli Government last year announced the CCAF would deliver 51 projects across 43 regional clubs including new jockey rooms, stewards’ towers, tie-up stalls, running rails and barrier stalls.
Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tim Mander said the program was vital for country racing in Queensland.
“Country racing is the fabric of many rural Queensland towns, which is why the Crisafulli Government is committed to ensuring its ongoing viability and success after a decade of decline under Labor,” Minister Mander said.
“The Queensland racing industry is responsible for generating more than $2.5 billion in economic contribution to Queensland, with more than half directly benefitting regional economies.
“Country Club Asset Funding delivers important upgrades and maintenance enhancements to our country clubs, which are the lifeblood of the industry across the Sunshine State.
“Unlike Labor, the Crisafulli Government recognises the value of Country Racing in Queensland, and we’re getting on with the job of delivering the infrastructure they need.”
Applications for funding close on April 13, 2026.
