Queensland’s best tourism experiences crowned
- More than 2,300 Queensland tourism products named Best of Queensland Experiences (BOQE).
- 534 operators received perfect scores highlighting exceptional Queensland tourism businesses to travellers.
- Growth in online tourism booking platforms demonstrates success of recognition program.
The Crisafulli Government has congratulated thousands of Queensland tourism operators that have been recognised with the official stamp of excellence from Tourism and Events Queensland, the Best of Queensland Experience mark.
As Queensland gears up to showcase its tourism offerings in the green and gold runway to the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics, 2,341 Queensland tourism products have received the industry’s highly sought-after recognition.
This year’s successful Best of Queensland Experience recipients include tourism operators from all 13 tourism regions in the State across accommodation, attractions, food and drink, hire, tour, transport and general services.
Of the operators recognised this year, 534 were top performers receiving perfect scores of 100/100 points, while 84 operators received a perfect Review Pro Global Review Index score of 100.
Releasing the 2025 results, Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the program’s exacting criteria was comprehensive, to highlight the best of the best.
“The bar is high, and this is done deliberately to show travellers from all over the world that Queensland really does offer a world-class holiday,” Minister Powell said.
“Carrying the industry’s Best of Queensland Experience stamp is a significant achievement, and the operators who have secured this have gone above and beyond to offer an all-round outstanding experience for visitors to our great State.”
“Our tourism operators are the people on the ground who bring our beautiful State to life for more than 28 million visitors each year, and they all do a brilliant job for Queensland.
“This nation-leading program shows travellers just how many of our operators offer a truly superior product.”
Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson said the number of tourism businesses offering an online booking platform had more than doubled in the past five years from 1,671 to 3,438.
“This significant uptake in tourism capability shows the importance of the program in setting best practice criteria for businesses to strive towards,” Mr Davidson said.
“Having an online platform that allows customers to book directly and receive instant confirmation is a vital part of the customer experience journey, which is a key part of the program.”

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The Best of Queensland Experience program was developed in partnership with the state's Regional Tourism Organisations (RTO), the Queensland Tourism Industry Council (QTIC) and the Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
Businesses are rated on an independent set of criteria that includes the consistent delivery of an exceptional experience based on positive customer reviews, website with secure online booking, social media presence, RTO membership and Accreditation.
Being named a Best of Queensland Experience means the business can use the official stamp of recognition in marketing, allowing potential travellers to easily identify them.
